Sarah El Meligy
Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degree in International Education with Curriculum Design for Secondary Education, as a major, from the American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.
After working as a Mathematics teacher in British schools in Egypt, Sarah joined Qatar foundation schools as an IB teacher and continued her journey as a specialized MYP and DP teacher in Dubai. She also completed her PGCE in developing mathematical thinking from University of Dundee, Scotland, to enhance her pedagogy in teaching mathematics.
Sarah's philosophy of education is to make a difference in her student's life, knowledge, and skills. Sarah has provided educational support to a number of orphanage institutions in Egypt. In addition, she conducted voluntary workshops, the latest was inducted in Dubai to support teachers on how to differentiate according to CAT4 data.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading, yoga, and chess
Originally from Texas, Melanie has been teaching drama, dance, and performing arts for 14 years. With a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance from TheUniversity of Texas, her teaching career has taken her around the world. She has experience teaching K-12 in the USA, Northern Ireland, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, teaching under a wide range of curricula, including IB, Common Core and the English National Curriculum. Melanie has taught DP Theatre for many years and is currently training to receive her examiner status.
In addition to teaching drama, Melanie is also a certified yoga teacher and Zumba Kids instructor. A true international global citizen with a husband who is half Irish, half Spanish.
Rajakrishnan Kalaichelvan was born into an artistic family and found his own calling for art through the mediums of painting, sculpture, photography, drawing and new media. He holds a BFA and MFA in Sculpture from Madras University, Chennai, India. Since beginning his career in teaching in 2008, he has taught at primary and secondary schools throughout India. Most recently, he taught at Step-by-Step School in Noida (Delhi NCR), India. In addition to teaching, Mr. Kalaichelvan continues to show his own work at exhibitions in major cities, including the “11th Oita Asian Sculpture Exhibition” in Oita, Japan. He is a native of India and speak English, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and a little French.
Nouralhuda Ismail holds a BA in Education with a specialization in Mathematics from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. Most recently, she worked at Calgary Islamic School. Her teaching practice focuses on embracing personalized learning and building a strong collective community through inquiry-based learning and technology integration. Ms. Ismail’s family live in Calgary and Dubai; she is fluent in English and Arabic.
Motasem Alhourani has been an Arabic and Islamic teacher for 13 years, including six years working in IB schools. He holds a BA in Arabic Language and Literature and an MA in Linguistic Studies and Grammar from Mu’tah University in Jordan. He has also served as an IB DP examiner since 2014. Most recently, Mr. Alhourani worked at Emirates National School, Abu Dhabi. He is a native of Jordan and speaks Arabic and English.
After completing his teaching training in Design and Technology from John Moores University, Liverpool, UK in 2001, Evo Hannan has taught at schools in the UK and UAE. In addition to teaching, he is a regular presenter at technology and innovative education conferences in the UAE and beyond. Most recently, Mr. Hannan taught at GEMS International School. Evo is originally from the UK and speaks English.
Seema Bhatia is committed to student success inside of the classroom and in life. With 13 years of experience in Inclusion in IB schools worldwide, Seema heads the Quest department at Dwight. She holds a Masters in Education and postgraduate qualifications in ESL, Counseling and special education from the USA, UK, and Hong Kong. Prior to moving to Dubai Ms. Bhatia lived and worked in India, the USA, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Being a firm believer in the IB philosophy Seema pursued Professional development in IB to further her skills in Inclusion. Her students aspire her to be a lifelong teacher and learner.
Frank Ayim is from Accra, Ghana. He received a Bachelor Degree in Science Education (Biology Major and Chemistry Minor) and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Cape Coast. Frank has since achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in International Baccalaureate Education from Bethel University, Minnesota, USA.
With 15 years combined teaching experience from two IB world schools (Lincoln Community School, Accra, Ghana and the World Academy of Tirana, Albania), Frank has a breadth of MYP Science and DP Biology experience. In addition, Frank has been an MYP Biology certified examiner for five years and enjoys being an MYP personal Project Coordinator. He believes in the constructivist teaching approach where active learning and collaboration is central to his philosophy of education. Frank has a passion for teaching science at all levels helping each child progress in all areas of their learning.
Frank is joint founder of a PreK charitable school in Tema, Ghana, where quality PreK education is given to children born on the streets. In his spare time, Frank also enjoys playing table tennis, cooking, music, and spending time with friends and family.
Olamide has a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Education.
Olamide has worked in Nigeria and the UAE, specialising in supporting students with special learning needs and English as an additional language in English, Mathematics and Science subjects. Olamide also works with teachers to develop inclusion strategies and provides support with dyslexia awareness.
Petrece has been an international teacher for the last eight years having taught the British Columbia Canadian curriculum in China and the IB MYP and DP in Dubai.
Petrece received both a Bachelor’s Degree and Bachelor of Education at the University of Western Ontario in London Ontario, Canada. Her educational experience enables Petrece to teach English and History for grades 4 to 12. Specifically, for the IB program Petrece has experience teaching MYP Language and Literature, and DP Language A and B.
As a lifelong learner, Petrece has become an MYP Language and Literature E-Assessment Examiner, marking scripts from IB students around the globe, allowing her to understand how to direct student learning while decoding common challenges students experience during the E-Assessment process. In addition, Petrece has also worked with students for the DP Extended Essay and MYP Personal Project as a supervisor.
Petrece has also supported school music and productions, helped students set up after-school tutoring programs and organized volunteer opportunities to connect to the local community.
